About the Itinerary Days Planner
Your first and last day of a trip are rarely full sightseeing days — you lose time to flights, transfers and check-in/check-out. This tool starts from your total number of nights (calculated from your departure and return dates) and subtracts a fractional day for arrival and departure based on what time you land and leave: an early-morning arrival loses very little of the day, while an evening arrival effectively loses the whole day. The result is your number of "useful full days" for sightseeing.
Based on your destination type (city, beach, nature, multi-destination or cruise) and the pace you choose (relaxed, moderate or packed), the tool also generates a suggested day-by-day activity template so you can see roughly how a day at that pace looks before you build out a detailed itinerary.
