About the Day Counter

This tool counts the exact number of calendar days between two dates — whether you’re counting down to a deadline, tracking days since an event, or calculating the length of a stay, project, or contract period.

Inclusive vs. Exclusive Counting

By default, the calculator counts the number of full days between the two dates (exclusive). Check "include both dates" to count inclusively — useful when counting total calendar days occupied, such as hotel stays or leave days, where both the check-in and check-out day count.

Business Days

The result also shows an estimated business day count (Monday–Friday), excluding weekends but not accounting for public holidays, which vary by country and region.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on your use case. For "how many days until my flight," leave the box unchecked (exclusive count). For "how many nights/days is my hotel stay," check the inclusive box, since both the check-in and check-out days are part of the stay.
No, the business day estimate only excludes Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays vary significantly by country and region, so factor those in separately for your specific location.
Yes, set "From Date" to today and "To Date" to your target future date. The result will show the days remaining, along with the weeks/days breakdown.
